About Program

The United Nations Organization posts numerous job opportunities for it’s various agencies every now and then and even though a lot of people aspire to join the UN very few Indians get a chance to work with it. This is because of the lack of knowledge and guidance available in India. Most people are unaware of the application procedure, and often fail to develop a UN friendly CV, which reduces their chances for selection. As a matter of fact, 98% job applications are rejected in the first level of selection. To reduce this disparity and to help connect more people with the United Nations, Helping Hand International has taken the initiative of hosting India’s first and only UN Mentorship Program, wherein UN insiders train you on how to secure a job with the United Nations. Till now, HHI has been successful in conducting three editions of India’s First UN Mentorship Program, and is currently conducting the fourth one after receiving multiple requests from it's members.

Myself Akshata and I was a part of United Nations Mentorship Program 2.0. Thank you Helping Hands International team and Mentors for such an en riching program. A million sincere thanks to the mentors for the sea of wisdom and knowledge. Being an UPSC aspirant I want to represent India at the UN. But the process is quite lengthy. Helping Hand International is the only organization in India which gave me in depth knowledge of turning my dream into reality. The sessions were super amazing with perfectly structured syllabus and covering the Selection process at UN for anyone from any field. And the mentors who have worked at UN and some are even currently part of the UN had a remarkable depth of knowledge. The depth of understanding of the current trends at UN made the lecture exceptionally stimulating and informative. The mentors are quite cooperative when it comes to clearing doubts. Personally I had many. doubts about preparing my cover letter because 90% applications are rejected just scanning your cover letter. Personally for me I felt it was a step forward to wards my career at UN. It had a significant impact on me, inspiring me to ex traordinary heights. Indeed you made the Months of October November "The Months of Learning and Growing". Also the journey was not limited for this pro gram. The organization keeps updating me regarding the new vacancies at UN so that I don't miss out any chance to turn my dreams into reality.

Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

October was a month of learning and growing for me. I spent my weekends learning about the intricacies of the United Nations with Helping Hand International HQ's amazing mentorship program.
